Bob Moog Foundation Announces Online Fundraising Auction Featuring Moog Artwork, Collectibles and Memorabilia

October 19, 2026 (Asheville, NC) — The Bob Moog Foundation will hold an online fundraising auction Oct. 19-26 featuring original artwork, professionally framed prints, autographed collectibles and memorabilia celebrating Moog and electronic music history. Proceeds will support Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, the Bob Moog Foundation Archives, and the Moogseum.

The auction brings together imaginative illustrations, commemorative posters and signed pieces that connect electronic music’s instruments with the people who helped shape its sound. Highlights include an original caricature signed by Keith Emerson; colorful synthesizer-inspired artwork by illustrator Kyle Platts; detailed prints by UK design studio Dorothy that explore the Minimoog and the history of electronic music; and photographs signed by Roger Powell, keyboardist for Todd Rundgren’s Utopia, and Larry Fast, the synthesizer player and composer behind Synergy, also known for his work with Peter Gabriel.

An original acrylic painting by Dave C. Lovelace depicts Bob Moog beside a modular synthesizer while Lovelace’s comic character, The Packrat, tinkers at a nearby workbench. Lovelace created the painting live at the Moogseum during the celebration of Bob Moog’s 92nd birthday.

Other offerings include framed tributes to keyboardists Keith Emerson and Bernie Worrell, a poster commemorating Bob Moog’s 2013 induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and a Moogfest 2014 festival poster. Many pieces were professionally framed by Asheville businesses, including BlackBird Frame & Art and Frugal Framer.

Bidding will open Oct. 19 and continue through Oct. 26. Participants must create an account or log in to an existing account to bid. Individual listings will provide dimensions, condition details, and shipping information. Local pickup in Asheville will also be available.

Funds raised will help the Foundation inspire people through the intersection of science, music, history and innovation—from hands-on classroom education to the preservation and interpretation of electronic music history.
